Stella McCartney Receives Glamour ‘Women Of The Year’ Award From Olivia, Yoko & Barbara

New York, NY (Nov. 9, 2009) — Noted fashion designer Stella McCartney, daughter of Beatle Paul McCartney, was honored as one of Glamour magazine’s 2009 Women of the Year, Monday night at Carnegie Hall.

Olivia Harrison, Yoko Ono and Barbara Starkey came together to present 38-year-old McCartney with the award, who was recognized for her work as an eco-friendly fashion designer and life-long animal rights activist. Stella McCartney’s line of beautiful clothing and accessories is completely animal-free, including shoes made from materials such as leather-like plant derivatives.

Glamour magazine holds its Women of the Year Awards annually to honor courageous and inspiring women who are changing the world.
