The majority (not all) of people in England drink tea with milk in. A lot of the Scottish continguent drink it without milk.
I would imagine that George and the other three, with coming from the north west of England, would all drink tea with milk added. I know Paul definately does as it was a question that one of my friends asked him once. Paul, by the way, takes his tea with two sugars. :-)

Here you are, teaching me something AGAIN, DSL. And you know, I've never tried my tea with milk (or sugar for that matter). New experience, here I come

I drink green tea as well as take green tea capsules. There are so many health benefits to it. The Earl Grey is a bit strong and bitter for my liking. I've not tried the Bromley's...actually this is the first I've heard of it. Also, I prefer the loose tea as compared to the bags. You find with the bags you're getting a lot of powder, stems, etc. With the loose you only get the actual tea leaves. The taste is totally different. You just have to learn to use a tea press.

There are a great many loose leaf teas out there that are great for the body and have a fantastic aroma & taste. If it's a good tea, I just like it lightly sweetened. :)

Mmm, what a lovely thread.

I've tried Earl Grey, but without milk. It was so-so, but I'll try it with milk :D

Personally, I like chai and vanilla chai, and my best buddy green tea (which I wrote a 5 page research paper on. If anyone needs to know the health benefits, just ask me :P )

Wow! There are a few Trekkies here, that's great! I loved when Captain Picard ordered the replicator to produce his

"Tea...Earl Grey...HOT!"

with such authority! I was on an Earl Grey kick for awhile, and I took milk in mine even though I am not from England. My brother lived in England for a year or so, back in the early '80's and he came back drinking his tea with milk, I tried it and liked it.
Now I just LOVE Celestial Seasonings India Spice Chai, with or without milk! If you haven't tried it, it is a pleasure to the senses...very fragrant and tasty.
I have never heard of Rory. I'll have to check it out.

I need to check out the India Spice Chai. Thanks for the tip!

P.S. I wonder how many of us on this Board are Trekkies as well? Could be that George was a Trekkie too?
